I’m writing this on my 29th birthday! 🎂 I felt like it would be appropriate to make a ‘30 Things To Do Before I’m 30′ list since it’s fun to have plans and goals and these are just some personal things I would like to do/experience/accomplish within the next year. I didn’t give myself a lot of time to complete, but once I do cross something off, I’ll make sure to update it. I should have made a list like this at 25. But I tried to keep it practical..with things to look forward to in a realistic amount of time. ☺ feel free to find inspiration in this list.
1. Go Ziplining
I’ve always wanted to do this. It’s a fear I would like to overcome because it seems like it would be exhilarating and an awesome experience.
2. Visit a waterfall i’ve never been to
I love finding waterfalls, their peaceful and truly my happy place.. but I haven’t made it much of a priority recently so I want to make it a point to see atleast one new waterfall before I turn 30!
3. Be able to work from home full-time
I got a taste of working from home for a little while, and I start a new part-time job in a few days. My goal is to be able to live my dream (which I’m already taking steps towards) and be able to make an income while working at home so I can stay home with my son!
4. Start a savings
This is something i’ve never been good at, but you never know when you might need money for an emergency.
5. Become a certified life coach
I have been planning on taking a course online to get my cerification.
6. See a live performance
I’ve seen live performances before, but I don’t do it enough..
7. Find a new “ma and pop” restaurant
Chris and I like to find new places to eat! The one I want to visit is ‘Ma and pop’s country kitchen.’
8. Read 4 books
I don’t read as often as I would like. I love books and reading, so i’m challenging myself to reading 4 books atleast before I turn 30. I have already owned these books, and I never read them fully.
9. Quit smoking
This one isn’t something I talk about often, but I am heavily addicted to smoking and it’s one of the habits I haven’t been able to break yet during my health/fitness journey.. but I feel ready to focus on quitting now. I hope to do this one way before my 30th birthday!
10. Volunteer for a cause I believe in
I’ve always wanted to do some kind of volunteering. I’m not sure which cause I will be supporting but I’m going to look around and make it a regular thing.
11. Take a roadtrip to a different state
I love taking drives and seeing new things and sometimes you just need a getaway.
12. Help 30 more women start a fitness journey
I have signed up 30 clients up to date for my online fitness groups, and my goal is to sign up 30 more women before I turn 30.
13. Cook more often
I want to make healthier meals, and become better with meal planning.
14. Get a new tattoo
I’ve been wanting a new one for awhile, it’s not my first one!
15. Spend the night on a beach
This is probably illegal, but I’ve always seen it done in movies and i’ve always wanted to do it.
16. Get a complete makeover
I could use a new hairstyle and to also find what my overall “style” is.
17. Make more designs for my online clothing store
I’ve already come up with 6 designs, but i’ve had so much fun with it that now I want to continue and make more. I don’t know where I want to go with it yet, but it’s a fun hobby. You can find the link in the menu above.
18. Learn a new skill
I’m not sure what i’m going to learn, the only rule is it has to be something i’ve never tried before, regardless if i’ve mastered it yet.
19. Become financially independent
I have to ask for help with money more than i’d care to admit, and even though I appreciate all the help in my life that i’ve had..by the time i’m 30 I want to be able to stand on my own two feet.
20. Get my license
I’ve practiced driving since I was 18 and failed my test a few times and eventually just stopped trying. It was pretty convinient that I ended up working within walking distance of the nursing home I worked at for 4 years. Now that I have a son, and the reality of time flying by; it makes me want to get my sh*t together. I’m not far off, I have my learner’s permit and all I need now is to schedule a test and pass!
21. Sing Karaoke in public
I’ve done this once and I don’t remember the experience much. I almost had the chance a few months ago, but we didn’t go.
22. Get back into painting
I haven’t done too many things for myself lately in a creative sense. I want to paint atleast one new BIG painting before I turn 30!
23. Purge & simplify my life
I want to rid myself of the things in my closet and dressers I no longer wear, and keep my house clean and clutter free by living a more minimalistic lifestyle.
24. Get professional family photos taken
I’ve been wanting to do this for months!
25. Start writing a book
One of my dreams has always been to be a writer/author and get my book published.
26. Visit Pittsburgh Botanical Gardens
This is so close to me and yet i’ve never been there.. It seems like a beautiful place to visit if you’re ever in Pittsburgh , PA.
27. Go to the Improv!
I’ve always wanted to go here, so i’m going to make it a reality! The Improv! is a comedy club.
28. Visit a national park i’ve never been to
I’m a firm believer in the healing benefits and mental clarity you get from being surrounded by only the sounds of nature. The sounds of birds chirping, creeks flowing, wind blowing in the trees. I have been to a lot of parks, so before i’m 30 I want to visit one i’ve never been to!

29. Get my aura read/and psychic reading
I missed out on an opportunity to get a polaroid picure of my aura a few years ago and always regretted it. I loved the idea but if I don’t find an opportunity to do it again, I will atleast get a psychic reading done for fun.
30. Unplug for a weekend
I work from my phone, and scroll when i’m bored.. so I’m challenging myself to atleast one weekend free of any kind of social media or online world; including television.
